My Christmas performance jam session

My band who are church choir members as well will be performing for our church’s upcoming Christmas children’s party. It is meant for kids from homes from around Kualal Lumpur and Petalilng Jaya of Malaysia. We are just one of the performances lined out for on that day. It’s happening this weekend.

Here are some of the practice sessions we had that I recorded. I know, there is still so much to improve. By the way the sound balance of the instruments are terrible since it’s a direct take from the mixer. Enjoy..or maybe not.

Psalm 32, popular for weddings

Recorded the first responsorial psalm with my new acoustic guitar. She seems to be enjoying herself doing recordings. Hope to have more experience together in the future with her. This is taken from Psalm 32. A friends wedding is coming up today so I made this tune about 3 days ago. Recorded the last bit last night. Since I was at a family member’s place, I did not bring my microphone pop-filter, instead I used a T-shirt for the job!
The church at my place decided that all psalms recital had to be done at the altar so for this one I made a minus one cd as backup music instead of the usual live playing. (Hope nothing goes wrong with the sound system)

She Doesn’t Love You Anymore-(Short Acoustic Version)

Here’s a song I’ve written about love. More like love that does not exist anymore caused by reality of life. It was written about a month back. Never really had a chance to do a demo with all the elements: drums, electric guitar etc.

I did this one today around two hours before going off for work. I used my new (cheap) Vietnamese handmade guitar. I just had the feeling that I had to do it at that point of time. I was having a terrible flu too. Somehow I felt more energized singing while having flu for some strange reason?? I also recorded this in my apartment living room. It was raining and there was a fan blowing at me. My Pekingese dog was also making some noise at the end if you are sharp enough!
