Here’s something I have done previously. I changed the melody to give it a different feel.
THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY HELP
THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY HELP;
WHOM SHAL I FEAR?
THE LORD IS THE STRONGHOLD OF MY LIFE;
BEFORE WHOM SHALL I SHRINK? (R)THERE IS ONE THING I ASK OF THE LORD,
FOR THIS I LONG,
TO LIVE IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD,
ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE;
TO SAVOUR THE SWEETNESS OF THE LORD,
TO BEHOLD HIS TEMPLE. (R)I AM SURE I SHALL SEE THE LORD’S GOODNESS
IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING.
HOPE IN HIM, HOLD FIRM AND TAKE HEART,
HOPE IN THE LORD! (R)

Psalm 32, popular for weddings

Recorded the first responsorial psalm with my new acoustic guitar. She seems to be enjoying herself doing recordings. Hope to have more experience together in the future with her. This is taken from Psalm 32. A friends wedding is coming up today so I made this tune about 3 days ago. Recorded the last bit last night. Since I was at a family member’s place, I did not bring my microphone pop-filter, instead I used a T-shirt for the job!
The church at my place decided that all psalms recital had to be done at the altar so for this one I made a minus one cd as backup music instead of the usual live playing. (Hope nothing goes wrong with the sound system)
Here it is, Psalm 32, one of the favourite psalms for weddings.
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord
They are happy, whose God is the Lord,
the people he has chosen as his own.
The Lord looks on those who revere him,
on those who hope in his love.Our soul is waiting for the Lord.
The Lord is our help and our shield.
In him do our hearts find joy.
We trust in his holy name.May your love be upon us, O Lord,
as we place all our hope in you

I tried something new for this one. Actually I did not have a guitar with me at the time. So I have to do it with just my voice. There were so many layers of vocal tracks I got confused!
The Lord Comes To Rule, The Peoples With Fairness
Sing Psalms to the Lord with the harp
with the sound of music
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
acclaim the King, the LordLet the sea and all within it, thunder
the world, and all its peoples.
Let the rivers clap their hands
and the hills ring out their joy
at the presence of the LordFor the Lord comes
He comes to rule the Earth
He will rule the world with justice
and the peoples with fairness
