Music Wisdom
These are blogs / sites that I visit very frequently for ideas and inspirations. You may like them too.
Hometracked serves the music world’s indie engineers: Independent musicians who record, produce, and promote their own work.
The web abounds in knowledge for recording hobbyists (and professionals,) from communities of sound production enthusiasts, like Homerecording.com to industry periodicals like Mix Magazine. But for many, the volume of free information is as much curse as blessing.
Hometracked is a home recording weblog, filtering the mess of information for good stuff (check out the most popular pages,) with a focus on the techniques and tips you need to make and market great music. Even if you record in a bedroom.
Stratoblogster is about Stratocaster guitars and Strat culture. I blog about guitarists and sources for Strat Stuff. (I have to add this: expect to read wacky and crazy stuff too!)
Hi, I’m Robert Renman from Sweden, now living in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. I was born in 1969 in Umeå, Västerbotten. I grew up in a small town called Hörnefors, 30 km south of Umeå. I have been playing guitar since I was about 13 years old. I started out playing blues and heavier rock, but turned towards L.A. pop-rock music in my later teen years. After that, a period with guitar shredding happened (Yngwie, Vai, Gilbert, Satriani, etc), although I was never very good at it….
As a long time guitar player (20+ years,) I started Electric Guitar Review as a rather bad excuse to play lots of wonderful instruments, but over the years it’s become a central part of my life, and nowadays I can’t imagine not blogging about guitars.
In fact, I’ve found that I enjoy writing about guitars nearly as much as I enjoy playing them…..
